Woot-Woot

April 4, 2008

Well, I probably should have written on Monday since Monday was my birthday and nothing else new has happened to me since then. I am about 57 now. That’s pretty exciting. I got some new shoes and clothes. Best part though? A dinosaur coloring book! I colored a triceratops! It looked a little like that. Yay dinosaurs.

I just read on Yahoo!that unemployment is at a two year high. That’s good news, huh? Except that I read the rest of the article and it is at 5.1%. Which, don’t get me wrong, sucks for everyone who is part of that 5% but compared to the Great depression, which we are doing in history, that’s not that bad. I digress.

Also, interesting tidbit, a 5th grader from Michigan told the Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of Natural History that they were wrong on their Tower of Time about the Precambrian being an era, it actually “…is a dimensionless unit of time, which embraces all the time between the origin of Earth and the beginning of the Cambrian Period of geologic time” according to the Museum. Go Kenton.

So I have already read the articles you speak of in your entry, but interesting take anyway, lol.

You should totally label that last picture as you, because well, it is entirely.

What was unemployment during the Great Depression? I’m guessing 15%?

It would be impossible for the Precambrian to be dimensionless if you define it with a beginning and an end, which you do: the origin of the earth through beginning of Cambrian.

    *end of the geek rant*
